Medical financial burdens are pretty easy to understand. When a family friend was diagnosed with “Cerebellopontine angle tumor (CPA) with subsequent moderate hydrocephalus involving 3rd and lateral ventricle”, you hope insurance has it covered… and when it runs out… What then? Friends of the Yellen Family wanted to support them during this difficult time and relieve the financial hardship the family had quickly taken on, so I was asked if I could make this easy for them.
The inspiration was simple. Mark was dubbed Superman for his bravery early on and throughout. Bold lettering and a crested logo rivaling the Man of Steel seemed more than fitting for a true hero. Quickly I went to work using Adobe Illustrator for graphic elements. Knowing the site would not be all that complex, I used this opportunity to try Adobe Muse. Using the stylized graphics we added some family photos and the ability for the family to journal updates to keep everyone in the know. We added a Paypal button for those that wanted to donate to the family fund as well as an online contact form.
I was happy to provide domain registration and hosting for SuperMan Mark and continue to wish the best for Mark and the Yellen Family.
